150 elementary schools and kindergartens, 37 middle schools and 67 youth centres and parishes from all over Slovakia participated in the public collection. The collection was supported by several individual donors by way of 4000 DMS (Donor Message Service).

Total revenue of the collection: 92 646,71 EUR

Net revenue: 75 500 EUR (after deducting the costs related to collection organization)

Use of net revenue:

1. South Sudan 40 000 EUR (53%)

a) irrigation system in Manguo-Maridi 20 000 EUR

b) hospital well in Manguo-Maridi 20 000 EUR

2. Kenya 16 500 EUR (22%)

Contribution to drilling and maintenance of the well in the Bosco Boys children centre in Nairobi.

3. Chad 10 000 EUR (13%)

Contribution to the well in a school in N'Djamena

4. Ecuador 9 000 EUR (12%)

Contribution to construction of sanitary facilities in Tuutin Entsa

Statement of the public collection Brick for Africa was approved by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic on 30.9.2011. The public collection Brick for Africa was authorized by a decision of Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic on 19.10.2010, under SVS-OVVS3-2010/022965.
