The 5^th Slovak „Brick" project has been dedicated to Kenya, to the problems of the street children. The public collection was approved by the decision of Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic, under SVS-233004-2009/18738 on 2.11.2009, Account No.: 2620852641/1100. The main aim of the 5^th „Brick" project was to support education of street children in the Bosco Boys centre in Nairobi (where also Slovak volunteers are active).

Total revenue of the public collection Brick for Kenya was 48 887,22 EUR.

After deducting costs related to collection organization the net revenue was distributed as follows:

1. Contribution for construction of a carpenter workshop in Bosco Boys Nairobi 25 000 EUR

2. Drilling a well for a school in Manguo-Maridi, South Sudan 10 000 EUR

3. Contribution to the reconstruction of schools in Haiti 6 500 EUR

The statement of the public collection Brick was approved by Ministry of Interior of the Slovak republic on 9.9.2010

More than 130 kindergartens, elementary and middle schools and 50 youth organizations from all over Slovakia were participating in the collection. They contributed by more than 60% of all funds. The rest came from private donors, who sent their contributions directly to the account by money order or DMS (2 872 messages were sent).
