From 24 February 2022, all donations to the scholarship fund will be allocated to helping the people of Ukraine — in particular humanitarian aid and assistance to refugees in cooperation with the Salesians of Don Bosco. 50 boys from the orphanage in Lviv have safely reached Slovakia, where they found refuge with their two carers. More information HERE.
The goal of the scholarship fund is to help poor students of the Salesian vocational school in Lviv cover the costs of their studies. Many of them are orphans or half-orphans and, because of their dire circumstances, do not have the means to contribute to tuition or other expenses related to their studies. As a donor, you can support the project without any commitment or contract — by any amount, online or by bank transfer.
The Salesian vocational school in Lviv is the only Catholic vocational school in Ukraine. It was founded and is run by the Salesians of Don Bosco. It focuses on young people from poor backgrounds — especially orphans and half-orphans — to whom it offers training as carpenters, cooks/waiters, hairdressers and tailors. At present it has 57 students, most of them boys. As a private educational institution, it provides better-quality education than state schools, invests in teacher training, and forms its students into good people and honest citizens.
