The first humanitarian collection truck transported the material to Uzhhorod over the weekend, where its contents (about 10 tons) were transferred to two cars. According to information from Don Hryhoriy Shved SDB, the aid coordinator on the Ukrainian side, the material will continue onwards, according to the guidelines of the Salesians of Lviv, especially to smaller towns and villages where other humanitarian aid cannot reach. Salesian Peter Jacko, the aid coordinator in Slovakia, also informed about the aid:
„We have a rented warehouse in Prešov. I crossed the border by myself with a driver and went through all the formalities at the border control and customs (waiting for about 6 hours). In Uzhhorod we rented a warehouse for us and from there the brothers from Lviv arrange transport to wherever it is needed. Thank you to the Presov centre for their help in packing and loading the truck.“
