After boys from an orphanage in Lviv left for Slovakia, the empty orphanage was transformed into a temporary shelter for people fleeing eastern Ukraine. As the orphanage also had its own bakery, where some of the boys are learning the craft of cooking and pastry chef, they used it to provide food for the incoming refugees. The basic ingredient that began to be lacking was flour, which they needed to keep the bakery running every night. The local Salesians not only help war refugees but distribute food aid mainly to villages and smaller towns that large organizations cannot reach.
