As part of our current Wells for Angola project an opening of the first three wells we are building in Angola was held this month. The construction of these wells in Huambo province was complicated by the rainy season. However, wells were completed in May and their inauguration ceremony was attended by Salesians Pe. Santiago and Pe. Jojo. The locals did not hide their excitement about the new wells, which have greatly improved their access to drinking water. A total of 6 wells are to be built in 2022, 5 of them in the province of Huambo and one in the capital city of Luanda in the Viana district. The wells will provide water for more than 7 000 people.
