2011 WELLS: SOUTH SUDAN, KENYA, CHAD, ECUADOR

The Tehlička for Africa public collection was joined by 150 primary and kindergarten schools, 37 secondary schools and grammar schools, and 67 youth centres and parishes from all over Slovakia. The collection was also supported by many individual donors, including through more than 4,000 donor SMS messages.

We thank all donors and participants!

Total proceeds of the public collection: €92,646.71

After deducting the costs associated with running the collection, the net proceeds were used as follows:

  • South Sudan €40,000    (53%)
    • irrigation system in Manguo-Maridi      €20,000
    • well for the hospital in Manguo-Maridi  €20,000
  • Kenya €16,500    (22%)
    • contribution to drilling and commissioning a well at the Bosco Boys centre for street children in Nairobi
  • Chad €10,000    (13%)
    • contribution to a well for the school in N´Djamena
