2013 KENYA: LANGATA

Tehlička  2013 The collection directly involved more than 140 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and almost 40 youth and other organizations in villages and towns throughout Slovakia.  Through these participants, around 60% of all funds were collected. The rest was made up of contributions from individual donors, who sent the funds directly to the account, via postal orders or by donor SMS – 430 messages were sent.

Total proceeds of the public collection: €44,963.61

After deducting the costs associated with running the collection, the net proceeds were used as follows:

Contribution to building a children’s playground at the Bosco Boys centre in Nairobi, Kenya €30,000

Contribution to the MARYAM tutoring centre in Baku, Azerbaijan €7,658.6
