Four Gifts Advent Collection – help for the missions
In previous editions of the Four Gifts Advent Collection we have helped several Salesian mission works around the world.
KENYA

- We provided financial support for the construction of a drainage system at the Salesian Don Bosco Boys Town centre in Nairobi (Kenya), which protects the school from flooding during heavy rains and provides a safe environment for the education of young people.
LEBANON

- In the Lebanese town of Hossun, thanks to your gifts, it was possible to hold a summer full of games, learning and outings for more than 400 children from refugee families from Syria and Iraq. The programme included creative activities, camps and the distribution of food aid.
ANGOLA

- We started an agricultural project at the Salesian mission in Dondo (Angola), through which 50 poor families were supported in growing crops. By providing seeds and tools for cultivating the soil, as well as ensuring training, we helped them start growing crops suited to the local climate. Thanks to this, they can secure a livelihood and improve the living conditions of their families.
PALESTINE

- We supported a Salesian bakery in Bethlehem, which distributes hundreds of loaves of bread daily to the Palestinian population. The food aid was directed to the most vulnerable groups of the population: children, the elderly and people with disabilities.
SOUTH SUDAN

- We supported the studies of girls in need in their final year at St Don Bosco Secondary School at the mission in Maridi, South Sudan. Thanks to this support, the students were able to complete their secondary education successfully.
TANZANIA

- We supported local farmers and farming families in Tanzania.
SYRIA

- We provided humanitarian aid for people in Syria affected by the devastating earthquake.
