The 16th edition of the Tehlička public collection for 2021 was registered by the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic in the register of public collections on 29 September 2020 under collection number SVS-OVS2-2020/026235-005.
The collection ran until 31 October 2021.
The gross proceeds of the collection amounted to EUR 121,496.71. The costs of running the collection were 15.02 percent. The net proceeds reached EUR 103,248.13. With the funds raised, we helped to secure the renovation of the community house in Yakutsk. In the first phase, we helped repair the roof and the other premises of the Salesian pastoral work in Aldan, which were in a state of disrepair. Together with us, you create the warmth of a home and help warm up people in the coldest place on Earth. We cooperate with the Salesians of Don Bosco, who have been present in Yakutsk since 1991.
Directly involved in the collection were 56 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, 17 SDB youth centres and other communities, 4 parishes and also 1 company in towns and villages across Slovakia.
All participants were sent promotional and background materials, which served not only the collection campaign but also as resources for education and awareness-raising in the field of development cooperation. As part of the collection, schools carried out — with our consent — their own activities serving its purpose.
WE THANK ALL DONORS AND PARTICIPANTS FOR SUPPORTING TEHLIČKA 2021

The project supported regular work with children and young people at the youth centre in the city of Yakutsk. The centre offers local young people interest groups (theatre, guitar, dance, foreign languages), creative workshops, peer-group meetings and the like. The funds of €5,900 were used mainly for centre equipment and energy costs.

With a contribution of €2,000, we supported the general renovation of the youth centres in Ugajan and Chatystyr (repair of the floor, heating, roof, insulation and windows), where regular activities take place (leisure activities, non-formal education) with children and young people, above all from socially disadvantaged families.
The project focused on supporting the running of the library and reading room at the youth centre in the city of Yakutsk, which is attended by children and young people primarily from less well-off families. The funds were used to purchase new books, audio materials and films, to organize regular cultural evenings and to partly cover the librarian’s salary.
